Bologna (Bologna) – capital of the district of Emilia Romagna.

The city brings together a rich history and the dynamics of modern life. It’s an artistic city and its historic center is one of the best preserved in Italy. They call it “The Scientist” since it is home to one of the oldest universities in the world, founded in the 10th century with the involvement of a famous Bulgarian, about whom you will learn interesting details on the spot. There are also over 40 museums located here testifying to the culture of the city.

It’s also called “Fatty” because of its highly developed gastronomy, with some of the most famous specialties being Bolognese sauce, tortellini in brodo, and salama mortadella. That’s why local dish tasting is a must on our tour. The central piazza, Piazza Grande, is a reminder of the city’s grandeur in the distant past, while the magnificent cathedral embodies the ambitions of the Bolognese to invite the most famous artists of the Renaissance – Giambologna, Jacopo della Quercia, Girolamo Rainaldi, Parmigianino and many others. The Fair Centre, built by the Japanese architect Kenzo Tange, has gained great renown for the permanent events and fairs that take place there.
