From the series non finito with the slaves, St. Matthew and the original of the legendary David which has become the symbol of Florence, we pass through the stucco/gypsum library and arrive at the magnificent collection of Giotto and his pupils.

Next we visit the Medici pantheon – the Medici Chapel. It is located at the back of the church of San Lorenzo , where there is a huge chapel constructed by Brunelleschi, extolling the splendor of the dynasty, using hard stones and various techniques , and next to it is the Sagrestia Nuova (New Sacristy) displaying Michelangelo in all his splendor – creating the architecture, the layout and the sculptures commissioned by Pope Clement VII – night and day, dawn and sunset and the Madonna and Child, perhaps the artist’s most complex work.
