Pisa and Lucca tour of Western Tuscany. The tour includes a visit to the famous Piazza dei Miracoli (Piazza of Miracles) in Pisa with one of the world’s wonder – the Leaning Tower – the symbol of the city of Pisa attracting more than 4 million tourists a year. The Piazza di Miracoli is a wonderful example of the Pisanromanico style together with the magnificent Cathedral of Santa Maria Assunta (Santa Maria Assunta), the Baptistery and Campo Santo. This is also the city of Galileo Galilei, one of the world’s most famous astronomers and scientists, and there are also many other interesting artifacts and places to discover.
Lucca, the former capital of Tuscany, a jewel of architecture built in the Pisano-Romanesque and Gothic styles. The city played an interesting role in the 12th and 13th centuries when most of the churches were built at the command of Bishop Frediano. Antiquity and romance reigns in the city and passing through the church of San Michele, the San Martino cathedral, and the birthplace of one of the classics of opera we are literally transported to a different spirit and era. Every summer the Lucca Summer Festival takes place with some of the most famous rock stars in the world, and the famous Lucca Comics & Games Festival is also organized. Upon request, a visit can be arranged with a wine tasting tour and a selection of local products.
